The New York Institute of Philosophy

The New York Institute of Philosophy's mission is two-fold. First, it seeks to make possible concentrated and sustained focus on particular research projects, often over a multi-year period. The topics that will be chosen for such projects are likely to include not only topics of traditional philosophical interest, but also some that are of central importance to ordinary life and public policy. Second, the Institute seeks to ensure that important work in philosophy is available not only to a narrow circle of insiders but also, when appropriate, to a more general public.
